REALLY

Doing crunches will give you a flat stomach.
A tried and tested way to lose the stomach flab is to lose body fat through diet and lifestyle changes. Crunches will help tone the muscle underneath the body fat but you won't see results from crunches until the fat is gone.

Get On the Scale Before You Go To Bed
This Helps Fight Snacking At Night. Getting on the scale right before you go to bed can be a profound accountability tool. If that number is on the high end, it will stop you from "getting a little something from the fridge". If it's on the low end, you have the motivation you need to refrain from temptations.

How is it possible to gain weight on a no fat diet?
If you've cut down on fat, and remain overweight with excess body fat, then you are still taking in more calories than your body needs.  You may be eating too much (even lowfat foods have calories), or simply not getting enough physical activity to burn the extra calories you eat.  Too many calories of any kind-fat, carbohydrate or protein-will be converted to fat by your body.

If the excess calories are supplied as fat they will be stored as fat, plain and simple. Unfortunately, the body cannot convert dietary fat into carbohydrate or protein, so if you consume excess calories in the form of fat they will be retained as adipose. I'd like to say excess calories supplied as protein will be retained as protein in muscle, but it doesn't work that way. Gaining muscle is not as simple as consuming excess protein energy. Extra calories you eat as protein can be retained as protein or else converted into glycogen (via gluconeogenesis) or fat.

Truth about diabetes

  • Diabetes is not caused by eating too much sugar.
  • Craving sugar is not a sign of diabetes development.
  • Type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes are metabolically very different. Type one diabetics cannot produce insulin on their own and type two diabetics cannot process the insulin they produce correctly anymore.
  • Every diabetic has a different treatment plan for their disease, so there is no universally 'diabetic friendly' food.
  • Sugar free does not necessarily mean that it is diabetic friendly!
  • Diabetes is incurable, but definitely controllable.

Hypertension - The silent killer
High Blood Pressure is often ignored and mismanaged. This leads to deadly complications in the long run which appear suddenly after many months or even years.High blood pressure can quietly damage your body for years before symptoms develop. Hypertension can be the root cause for cardiac arrests, hemorrhages, and kidney failure among other complications.
Hence Hypertension has justifiably earned the name of the "silent killer".

Studies have found that a single night of inadequate sleep in people who have existing hypertension can cause elevated blood pressure throughout the following day.
